The Aviary
The Aviary is an exquisite ornate floral installation designed for the Waldorf Astoria in Doha, a newly built luxury hotel with coastal views in an exclusive hospitality setting.
Perfectly positioned within the entrance foyer, our design concept aimed to activate a discreet retail enclave, offering guests a distinctive experience beyond the hotel’s traditional open meeting spaces. With high-end fashion boutiques located behind, the client sought a design that would captivate guests and create a striking focal point to draw them into the surrounding retail areas.
Studio Lord conceived The Aviary as a standalone engagement piece, inspired by the refined beauty of a Victorian birdcage and the sophistication of the Waldorf Astoria. Crafted in brass for a luxurious finish, the design features elegantly layered shelving, thoughtfully arranged to showcase floristry displays in a sculptural, eye-catching form. Introducing a sense of theatre and artistry to the hotel setting, The Aviary elevates the guest experience while complementing the hotel’s graceful and clean contemporary aesthetic.
